The Aurora. One of the most amazing natural phenomena on the planet. Caused by high energy particles streaming from the Sun which interact with the Earths magnetic field. Reds and greens, purples and blues, like solar fireworks they strut across the night sky dancing to a beat that is personalized for each viewer.
The Aurora is more attainable than you think….
The video below was made from 1039 individual photos. Taken during the arrival Auroral display on the evening of November 11th 2025 approximately 7pm CST. using a Canon R6 Mk II, 15-35mm F/2.8 (@15mm), 3.4 sec ISO 1200. The giant green blobs you see appearing are known as proton aurora and only happen during a corresponding solar radiation storm.

Portraits can set scenes for stories and give context to achievements. They can allow for freedom of imagination or be used to convey strict and sometimes critical messages. About the silver….
I know this section is usually where I am supposed to put some super charged hot button words and large adjectives and catch phrases to show you how driven or dedicated I am to my craft. The picture of me is supposed to be one where I’m sitting on a stone by myself in some far away courtyard staring off into a blinding sun. Black & white with a yellow flower in the bed behind me.
Hi! My name is Joe and I have an itch to do photography. My picture is a direct representation of me. F1, Legos, Miami Dolphins (next year is our year version 44.1) and all things weather and science. I’m a nerd and I love it. Cat dad. Real dad. Best friend and quite possibly the best hair in the world. Its immaculate at all times. I’m not conceded about that, I’m convinced.
I initially became a photographer because I see beauty in the everyday world around me that begs to be captured in its raw form. That is what drew me in and to this day it still drives me. Being able to see or be a part of those moments fills my cup. Thank you for taking time to read this. I will continue to update the website with more material.
